Life and death are intrinsic. We may refuse to listen to life but all of us are obliged to listen to death. The mind evades, projecting it into the future, ignoring the fact that death is inevitable. It’s always someone else who dies, so the personal self wants to believe. Logic obligates the person to accept that the body must die, but never this self, so the person looks upon the body as having a soul. It follows the collective ruse convincingly that a heaven waits where body and soul will again re-unite, or perhaps this personal self will reincarnate in another body. Thus the loveless continues missing the mark.
